Grab your costumes!

The month of November is just around the corner. And starting this month, it's already the -BER months! Imagine that! And Christmas is not that far too. But before we even reach the yuletide season, one of my favorite occasions comes in first. Although, in the Philippines, it is not a common event, we still celebrate it anyway. Too bad it is not that widely acknowledged. But still, malls everywhere bring out sales, products and all-out Simple Halloween Costumes! From the little bling-blings, hats, make-ups, masks, to the decorations of cobwebs, pumpkins, and dark mystic themes, Halloween is really at show!

So when you are strolling around the mall and you are finding a hard time in choosing what you're gonna wear, don't panic! Think of your favorite pet, monster character, fairy persona, vampire heroes (Take Twilight, for example! lol!), werewolves, witches. Even consider your admired heroine characters, cartoon characters. Who says its limited to ghoulish looks, right?

If you ask me, I'll choose to wear a Harry Potter theme! I'm an avid fan. With my broomsticks, wizard hats, magic wands, coats and uniform, and my own owl, I'd be ready to go for Hogwarts.

Well, What character would you want to show-off?

Mellow Yellow Monday & Ruby Tuesday - Intertwined

Simple but elegant and natural.

I soooo love the cake design made here during the wedding of a churchmate.
Among all the wedding cakes I have seen, this is, so far,
the cake that I like most!

the Miracles of Tawa-tawa & Durian

It has been 2 months now that I have been volunteering as a nurse
here in a local hospital in our city.
Admissions day by day come flooding in with common complaints,
signs & symptoms, and conditions:
(1) Headache
(2) intermittent and/or relapsing fever
(3) joint pains (Dengue is also known as Breakbone fever, hence the term used)
(4) fatigue.
These are just to name a few.

So be aware. This is the sickness fad nowadays.

If your local area is renowned for the spike of the Dengue fever, please don't hesitate to check on up to your nearest clinic or hospital.

Ask for a CBC request or a Complete Blood Count so that you will know your Platelet status.
FYI: This member of your blood component family is mainly the target of your carrier virus in Dengue. Apply caution if it falls way down 150, 000 (Normal Value is 150,000-450,000). All the more if it falls below 100,000! Or worse it can reach to even 40! Critical because it all boils down to the hemorrhage. And we don't want that to happen!

So, here is why I am posting all these pictures of the Tawa-tawa (scientific name Euphorbia hirta) plant and Durian fruit. Although I have not stumbled upon scientific research of detail to detail facts of these marvelous creations, they seem to be, now, the IN alternative, herbal, nutritive, nature medications against Dengue fever.

Tawa-tawa has been known to increase blood fluid volume thereby inducing an increase in platelet count! But it does not fight dengue virus. Instead, it only promotes the development of blood platelets and softens the effect of the dengue virus. Furthermore, natural enzymes of the plant stabilize the membranes of the blood vessels, preventing internal bleeding ( Amazing!) . Durian, here, is currently in study (as I read in the newspaper!) as also a help in battling the ill-effects of the said condition. How marvelous to think of God's own creation used to aid on healing!

And so, I stress here: (1) Prevention here my readers. Get all that stagnant water out of your every containers (I say every single bit of them).

(2) Protect your family and loved ones. Use screens if you can in every opening you have (doors, windows). Use, if you prefer, anti-mosquito lotions. Hey, there's this mini techy thingy that you just clip on your clothes and it buzzes off a sound that drives mosquitoes away, ain't that cool?

(3) Please don't use fogging. It will drive the mosquitoes away--but leads them on another direction. It won't kill them, you know. :)

(4) Plan in cleaning you environment everyday. :) The mosquitoes won;t have anymore possible breeding sites. Those larvae won't have room to wriggle anymore. :)

That's it folks! Hope I shared something worthwhile here and you had something to learn about! :) Take Care 'coz I care! :)

Where to start? HeeeLLLppp!

Simply putting it.. I have lots of topic in mind to write! Waaahhhh! What topic should I start with?

1. Feature Tawa-tawa and Durian as an IN-remedy to the infamous Dengue fever.

2. 9-11 reminiscing.

3. Saw a feature story in the news about Guyabano and its therapeutic contributions.

4. The memes that I am joining! Aaaahhh!.. so NOT up to date lately! :(

It has been a busy and LooooOooooong week. But by God's grace, I am still alive and kickin'! weeeeeee!

Finding the same heart beat

Tomorrow will now be the wedding of a dear friend! Ooohh, I can feel how excited he is and his bride-to-be! Even in our rehearsal for the wedding, I can even observe how he really is looking forward of tomorrow's special day! Even how he is slightly 'not' relaxed! Feeling some slight tense I could say! lol!

Ahhhh, truly, as wedding bells will be ringing tomorrow, love is truly smelled in the air. And I just wondered my mind on the thought: when did it all began? where does it all begin?

Well, that I can't possibly narrow down to one, single answer right? But come to think of it, it all starts with friendship right? Then levels up to the getting-to-know phase. After which, as mutuality really sets in, here comes the stage of dating. Indeed, it is better opted that you both are in one same place right? Just like cheltenham uk dating singles, they picture out dating in one place in one time.

So there's no need to grab a map and find your special someone in a far distant land. Why find from afar when there someone nearer? A nearby heart that beats for you could not be that far-flung. :)

Business is booming!

My uncles and aunties have various types of business. Indeed, working a particular job is not a guarantee for you to be sustained of your daily expenses! That is why most people engage themselves into business. And in business, it is a central element that you know how to advertise and sell your product. Your product must capture the consumer’s eye. In advertising, you need to consider various elements for your ‘name’ to be a ‘household name.’ That is why even in simple ways like that of giving out business cards online, you bet you are selling yourself in the micro level. It’s reality that in today’s time, the internet is an easy, just-a- click-away advertising method. Television is there and also radio means. But none can compare to the traditional yet simple type approaches that these business cards would do. It lets your customers know you in the basic and personal level.

So if ever you get one of these cards, it is a good choice not to disregard it. It may come in handy in times when you really need something! Whatever walks of life you came form, you maybe a student looking for a resource on a particular project, a young entrepreneur starting a small business, or just a typical consumer looking for a particular product, a card in hand maybe a good start of help.

Reaching Out a helping hand

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

As part of the team of health care providing, we serve people from various walks of life. From infants to pediatrics (children) to geriatrics (elderly), giving care spans all levels and ages. Now, it is inevitable to have patients who have disability in their part. We regard them as people with special needs and care to be given. They need specialized and rightly-fitted gadgets or devices that assist rightfully for them to manage their activities of daily living. Indeed, their disability is not a hindrance at that.

That is why, in choosing wisely and properly what assistive devices to use and the certified quality that goes along with it, we need to guide our patients and clients the initial and basic step. That is to find first a dealer, and not just some ordinary dealer but a dealer that builds assured quality to its consumers. NMEDA has that! They term it as QAP or Quality Assurance Program (QAP). It is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality. NMEDA indeed defines disability in a rather different perspective. Reaching independence is not that far.

Being a care provider is not as easy as it seems. It is a tough yet fulfilling work. Thanks to NMEDA, they sure give a helping hand!

Check out nmeda.org and on the homepage, hit the dealers locator and type in your zip code and see if there is a qualified dealer near you! :)

Furniture of your choice!

Furniture as we know it is central in every household. I for one, and someday, when I get to have a house of my own, will make sure the furniture I have blends uniquely with the theme of my house. I am not a typical person who wants any typical furniture. I want the rustic type. The traditional yet timeless type. Nothing compares to rustic furniture. It indeed speaks some taste of nature, simplicity and warmth mixed into one. Where else is the best source of it that nature itself right? When we take good care of Mother Nature, she loves us back by giving us her resources. Furniture that has rustic elements, speaks, too, of durability and beauty rolled into one. Get furnished with your furniture of choice. Learn and know your type. You are the interior designer of your home and you better decide wisely.

So instead of you going out into nature parks and traveling to nature, why not let nature come to you? Like that’s impossible? It is not! Get you very own rustic chairs, tables, beds, benches, lamps, dressers (the list goes on), and experience Mother Nature’s personal touch right in your very household!
