Shoot me! - Youth Sunday 2010
Rock on for JESUS! Yeahhh! This was our group picture remembrance of our Youth sunday.
I was astonished and happy at the same time to see
that we were a great number here. I pray that we will be fruitful in that area.
As to the fact that, the 'harvest' is plenty but the workers are few. ;(
Zeal. Passion. Commitment. Heart.
It's my constant prayer and desire for the youth.
I know very well that the Lord sees every bit of it and He is waiting...

Shoot me! - Guitar Girl
I never mentioned in my blog that music is part of my life right? Oh I think I've mentioned it in my first posts. lol. Yes, it is true. I'm a music-lover and person myself.I know how to play the guitar (be it electronic or acoustic, as long as it is a guitar), and also the bass guitar (but not that much). I'm also into tribal, ethnic music which I learned how to play the kumintang and agong (one of our native & tribal instruments), and also I love the Rondalla wherein we play a 14-stringed instrument!
By the way, this picture was taken during a debut of a churchmate. :) I was playing while my friend serenaded her. :)
Ahhhh, it is indeed obvious that music is an extension of my life. :)

Shoot me! - Remembering moments

One of the many wacky, weird, and fun poses
with my dear friends in the church!
Hmmm, can't remember though when this was taken.
Oh! I remember it was during our youth month celebration.
My, years have indeed passed, look, my hair is so long that time!
I miss my long hair :(

Shoot me! - LighthOuse Family

These beautiful people are my lighthouse family in Carmen. The lighthouse, as conceptualized, is a gathering wherein families fellowship, God's word shared, sing songs of worship and praise, discuss and talk, and just enjoying the company of each other as a family.
The gathering is coordinated by the family themselves which belong to that particular and nearby location. (I, am an exemption, lol!)
And every Saturday, we hold this so-called Weekly Children Bible School (WCBS), a program in framework with the Vacation Bible School (VBS). The young people are the work staff along with some mommies.
It is a great blessing indeed, seeing us as a team working together in God's service and for His greater glory!
Shots on the Smiles and pretty faces!

Sounding SundaY

Browsing through pictures from my friendster account, I managed to stumble upon this picture. And upon seeing it, I felt how I missed playing the Kumintang which is a traditional and historical type of instrument originating from the culture here in Mindanao, which various tribes use it in music, dances, customs and the like. I loved playing it especially when it is blended to play with the 'Agong' of which I had a chance to play too. I just reminisced the beauty of Ethnic element, its art, the colors, the embodied unique culture, and the lives of the people in it.
Wishing that someday I could play these musical pieces again (I already forgot some of the rhythms and beats!),
but anyhow, my heart for cultural and ethnic music still lives on.

Here are the pictures of my Rondalla days! In these pictures, I am holding a Banduria instrument. The Banduria is one of the 5 musical instruments in a Rondalla ensemble. This instrument plays a lead role in its piece beautifully blending with all the others namely the Laud, Octavina, Guitar, and the Bajo de Arco. The Rondalla group is popularly known on the cultural context, its music in dances such as Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Pasiguin, Tinikling and a whole lot! I couldn't express more how I miss playing them. Maybe one of these days, if ever I'll get a chance to hold them, I will never let them go..(^^,)
These, therefore speak how music is integral in my very life.
